About Us

Representing the third generation of art connoisseurs and dealers, Bernard Thienpont founded Thienpont Fine Art established in the Brussels area, Belgium.

Thienpont Fine Art specializes in late 19th and early 20th century European fine paintings and Japanese animalier bronzes from the Meiji, Taisho and Showa era.

With a keen eye for excellence and a uncompromising demand on beauty and quality (rather than only relying on renowned names) we contribute to the enhancement of private and other collections. The stock is carefully selected and all works are authentic and well preserved.

Although we specialize in high quality works, we take pride in also covering a price range that will suit a broad range of budgets to acquire a great piece of art.

Furthermore, as a consultant, we also helps and advices clients on the following :

  • Object search and acquisition
  • Viewing and bidding at auction
  • Creating and building a collection
  • Care (including framing and restoration) and cataloguing a collection
  • Sale of (individual items of) a collection
